Pankaj Naram
Receives Prestigious Award
One of India
’s most prestigious awards in the field
of Ayurveda was given to Siddha Nadi Vaidya Pankaj Naram in February
from the Ved Sanskrit Mahavidhyalaya
University in
Sabarkantha, Gujarat . Named the Dhanwantari
Bhasker Award, it is given once every five years to
recognize a lifetime of achievement. “We are delighted today to
acknowledge Pankaj Naram’s international contribution that is
helping to spread Ayurveda’s ancient secrets worldwide,”
cited 94-year old Pandit Kashiram, one of India’s leading
astrologers, who affirmed Pankaj Naram’s outstanding and
dedicated work with deep pulse reading and Ayurveda.
“We pray that Dr. Naram lives for 150 years to continue his
work serving humanity in 108 countries.”
Pankaj Naram has won numerous
awards for his pioneering and humanitarian work. He was named
International Man of the Year in 1994 by the International
Biographical Center in Cambridge, England.

Pankaj Naram is
a highly gifted master in the ancient practice of Ayurvedic pulse
evaluation. Although Ayurveda is a science, only a
few great practitioners learn the most subtle form of evaluating
pulse, which requires a certain art or intuition in addition to
knowledge and skill. For this reason, Pankaj Naram has

been dubbed a Siddha Nadi Vaidya, a
Sanskrit term that denotes the highest level of mastery.
His ascension to the top of his field did not start easily,
however. When he was first licensed in India
as an Ayurvedic physician in 1981 after graduating from an Ayurvedic
college, he was quite
frustrated that his patients were not seeing much in the way of
results.
Only in his mid-twenties, Pankaj Naram himself
was overweight, nearing baldness and wore thick glasses. He was also
financially broke, mentally exhausted and on the verge of leaving
the profession. That's when a chance meeting with a 115-year
old Tibetan monk named Baba Ramdas transformed his life. Today
Pankaj Naram is an energetic man
with glowing health and a solid physique. He is a living
example of what he preaches and practices in life. His work and
example have inspired thousands of people to reach for and attain a
healthy mind in a healthy body.
In vigorous training, it was Baba Ramdas who taught Pankaj
Naram the science and art of pulse reading so that
he is instantly able to discern the energetic imbalances that cause
illness and disease. Baba Ramdas also taught Pankaj
Naram the practice of marma
chikitsa (a system of energy points). Before he
died, Baba Ramdas passed on all the knowledge of his 2000-year old lineage to
Pankaj Naram, making Pankaj Naram the
current head of this lineage of Ayurvedic masters.
