Ayurveda is a tradition that enriches the lives of those who discover
its ancient treasures. Ayurveda is Sanskrit for “science of
life,” and it is the world’s oldest health-care system.
With origins in India
dating back at least 5,000 years, Ayurveda is acknowledged and promoted
by the World Health Organization as a safe and effective means of
correcting common health problems. It is now taught in colleges in Great Britain and India.
Ayurveda is also taught in the U.S. to health-care
specialists, including growing numbers of medical doctors, and the U.S.
National Institutes of Health has recently funded research about
Ayurvedic protocols.
The original and authentic form of Ayurveda is based on one guiding
principle: address the root cause of an ailment rather than its
symptoms. Once the root cause or blockage is understood, balance can be
restored through a combination of practices, and symptoms disappear.
The six classical instruments of Ayurveda are: pulse evaluation, diet,
lifestyle, herbal supplements, marma chikitsa (system of energy
points similar to acupuncture) and panchakarma (deep cleansing
and rejuvenation).
Ayurveda suggests that there are three primary qualities or
principles that govern every human body. These principles are called doshas,
which are derived from the five elements: earth, air, water, fire, and
space. It is the doshas that regulate all actions of the body.
When the doshas are balanced, we experience good health,
vitality, ease, strength, flexibility and emotional well-being. When the
doshas fall out of balance, we experience energy loss,
discomfort, pain, mental or emotional instability and, ultimately,
disease. Click here to learn more about
specific doshas and their imbalances.

“When I first
met Pankaj Naram I was depressed both physically and mentally,
experiencing a lot of anxiety, continual bronchitis and arthritic pain.
Within a few weeks (of taking the supplements and following the
cleansing diet) I felt the persistent depression begin to lift. Sleep
resumed its normal patterns. My weight began to drop. The cough
vanished, and the arthritic pain was reduced to almost nothing. Even my
meditation practice was positively affected.”

“Before I came to see Pankaj
Naram, I felt like I had the flu all the time – with chronic
pain, muscular discomfort, headaches and fatigue, gas and bloating. I
took the herbs faithfully, and I feel like a brand new person. I was
always an active person and especially loved horseback riding.
I’m back to sports again. I’m thrilled and so is my
husband.”

“When I first came to Pankaj
Naram, I was having acid reflux, kidney stones, gout and terrible lower
back pain. (After taking the remedies), the kidney stones are
non-existent, the acid reflux is much better, the gout has almost
disappeared, and I have very little lower back pain now.”
